Body of Indonesian man found in car boot

SHAH ALAM, July 5 — The body of an Indonesian man was found wrapped in a black plastic sheet in the boot of a car on the roadside near Taman Sri Orkid, in Section 30 yesterday.

Shah Alam deputy police chief Supt Ramsay Anak Embol said the police were informed about the discovery of the body at about 3.25pm by passers-by.

Tthe body was found in the boot of a black Honda City car, believed to have been at the location for the past two or three days.

“The body was then sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem,” he said in a statement today.

Following that, four suspects including an Indonesian woman, all in their 40s, were arrested about 7pm on the same day, near the scene of the incident.

Preliminary investigations found the motive for the murder was believed to be jealousy, but the police are still investigating the case, Ramsay said, adding that all the suspects are on remand from today until July 10 for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
