Infaq Yide app records 13,000 donors, more contributions encouraged

SHAH ALAM, July 16 — The Infaq Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (Yide) application that developed since March last year has recorded approximately 13,000 contributors to date.

Its general manager Nur Mohd Razali Abdullah said the amount of donations disbursed through the application has increased significantly, especially on Fridays and throughout the month of Ramadan.

“Every day, there are donation transactions made through the application. During the fasting month, the value of donations increased by 1,000 per cent compared to other months, as well as on Fridays.

“However, we will intensify our campaign to encourage the public to contribute at any time,” he told Selangorkini.

Razali said the application was developed in collaboration with the payment gateway company Toyyib Pay, which allows donors to set the amount they wish to contribute.

“Donors can also get tax exemptions. They can accumulate their donations within a year, and later view the tax exemption receipt displayed in the application,” he added.

Previously, the agency informed that some 2,000 mosques, surau, welfare homes, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are included in the application.
