SHAH ALAM, July 16 — The Kinrara state constituency has allocated RM500,000 to implement seven public facility improvement projects for this year.
Its incumbent state assemblyman Ng Sze Han said the infrastructure to be built under Projek Selangor Penyayang (PSP) include a bus shelter at SMK Puchong Perdana, and a pedestrian walkway from Setiawalk to Bandar Puteri 1.
“All the upgrades under PSP are based on residents’ requests, who frequently use such facilities, as well as suggestions from council members.
“Our focus is on residents who often utilise the facilities, and actions must be taken to ensure their safety,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.
Ng added that other ongoing projects include upgrading the track at Taman Rekreasi Wawasan, constructing a pedestrian walkway along Jalan Kenari in Bandar Puchong Jaya, and installing Anti-Climb safety fencing near SJK(T) Ladang Kinrara.
“We are also upgrading the roadside at Taman Kinrara Section 1, and installing pedestrian bridges on the BK9 pedestrian walkway in Bandar Kinrara,” he said.
During the tabling of the 2023 Selangor Budget on November 25 last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that RM28 million will be allocated under PSP to boost and stimulate the local economy, via the provision of small-scale projects for the benefit of local communities.
It will prioritise the maintenance and upgrading of infrastructure, as well as the of public facilities by the government, including those without annual maintenance allocations.
