By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, Aug 29 — Application for the RM100 one-off Childcare Centre Registration Fee Incentive (Pintas) will open on September 1, said Women’s Development and Community Welfare Committee head Anfaal Saari.

Anfaal said parents with a household income of between RM5,001 and RM8,000 can apply for the incentive, which is managed by Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas).

“May this initiative reduce working parents’ burdens and ensure their children receive sufficient care and attention,” Anfaal said on X.

Yawas said the application for the incentive is limited to families with at most two children under four years old, non-recipients of the Asuh Anakku Pintar Aid Scheme, and childcare centres registered with the Selangor Social Welfare Department.

“Other application terms are that applicants must be Malaysian, Selangor voters, reside in the state, and are working,” said Anfaal.

Applications can be made online here and by sending copies of several documents within 21 days of registration, as listed below:

— Child’s birth certificate

— Applicant’s IC

— Applicant’s voter registration

— Applicant and spouse’s latest payslips

— Bank account statements

— Statutory declarations or adoption papers

— Payment receipt for a 2023 intake childcare centre fee

Earlier, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari in tabling the Selangor Budget 2023 announced a one-off RM100 assistance for parents to enter their children under four years old into childcare centres or nurseries.

Amirudin said the annual registration incentive for the M40 group involves cumulative funds of RM500,000.
