Wanita Keadilan sure of victory in state polls

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

KUALA SELANGOR, Aug 4 — Wanita Keadilan is confident of victory in the six state elections, said wing head Fadhlina Sidek.

She said the confidence is based on rising support for the wing and sufficient preparation of the unity coalition’s machinery.

“We are in full force (to win) all seats (contested by the women’s wing) amid a highly encouraging rise in support from voters.

“The unity coalition’s machinery is also well prepared and is working hard to ensure victory for unity government candidates.

“We fully believe we can win all the seats we are contesting although some are competitive. Our preparation shows the readiness of our female candidates to stand in the election,” she said when met at a talk in Ijok on Jalan 14, Taman Bakti Ijok, here yesterday.

Fadhlina, who is also education minister, said all schools chosen as voting centres are ready for polling day on August 12.

“This is not their first election and there have been no issues. (Every school) is ready and we have briefed each one,” she said.
