Back Suhaizan for stability, Mohamad Sabu tells Chinese voters

JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 5 — Amanah is hoping Pulai’s Chinese voters support Pakatan Harapan candidate Suhaizan Kaiat in the by-election.

Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said the country would not be stable if only one ethnic group ruled, and that unity and harmony among ethnic groups would increase the foreign tourist and investor confidence.

“When hundreds of thousands or millions of visitors come to Malaysia, we can improve the country’s economy. But they will only come if the country is peaceful.

“All ethnic groups must work together to build the nation. Stability can only be found in the unity government. Other coalitions do not have it because they are based on one ethnic group,” he said during Unity Dinner with the Chinese Community in Taman Bukit Indah last night.

Also present were Suhaizan and Progressive Democratic Party president and Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.

Pulai has 166,653 voters, 40.46 per cent, or 67,434 of whom are Chinese.

Suhaizan is in a three-cornered fight against Perikatan Nasional’s Zulkifli Jaafar and Independent candidate Samsudin Mohamad Fauzi.
