SHAH ALAM, Sept 20 — Approximately 200 families residing in Pangsapuri Rebana Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, were provided with donations of various basic food items including rice, on Sunday (September 17).
Bandar Baru Klang state assemblyman Dr Quah Perng Fei said the distribution of food bags worth RM50 each was carried out via the state constituency’s community service centre.
Each eligible recipient was given cooking oil, salt, sugar, dried noodles, instant noodles, biscuits, and canned food.
“This distribution is aimed at reducing kitchen expenses, especially for the B40 group,” he said to SelangorKini.
Dr Quah added there is great concern over the needs and welfare of the local community. To this end, welfare programmes for the people will always be prioritised and continued.
“The welfare of the local community is my priority, so we will continue to actively assist and serve the residents in this area for their well-being,” he said.
