SHAH ALAM, Sept 18 — A total of 2,124 individuals have benefited from Skim Bantuan Tadika Selangor (Tunas), with a total of RM50 managed by Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas) as of early this month.

Yawas’ corporate communications assistant manager Sharizan Mohd Shariff said the assistance, first introduced in 2012 to help alleviate parents’ burden, has been well-received.

“As of last week, a total of 2,124 individuals received a monthly subsidy of RM50 for eligible applicants.

“For new applications which were opened on April 3, we have received 4,144 applications, with some of them currently in the approval process,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.

Tunas assists in the form of fee subsidies, not in cash, and it is directly channelled to registered kindergartens at https://tunasv2.yawas.my/admin/list_tadika.php.

New registrations can be made at http://tunas.yawas.my/. Those seeking to make inquires may contact the hotline at 03-5481 8800 or visit Yawas’ social media pages on Facebook and Instagram, as well as Yawas TV on YouTube.

Yawas also manages other assistance programmes in Selangor which focuses on the welfare and well-being of children, including Skim Bantuan Asuhan Anakku Pintar (Asuh Pintar), Bantuan Khas Anak Istimewa Selangor (AnIS), and Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) for senior citizens.
