GOMBAK, Sept 22 — The state government is on course to deliver 45,000 affordable homes under the Rumah SelangorKu initiative by the end of this year, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

As of August, 40,000 units have already been completed, and another 5,000 are expected to be completed by the end of the year.

“The units, which began construction in 2018, are progressing on schedule and nearing completion,” he said during a press conference after the key handover ceremony to house owners of Pangsapuri SelangorKu @ Seri Temenggung earlier today.

During the event, 420 buyers including 29 long-time local residents received the keys to their respective units.

Ranging from 750 square feet to 1,000 square feet, Pangsapuri SelangorKu @ Seri Temenggung homes were offered to buyers at prices between RM100,000 to RM220,000.

The project is equipped with facilities including two parking spots for each unit, a playground, a surau, a multipurpose hall, a kindergarten room, a reading room, as well as a grocery shop and laundromat.

Previously, Amirudin had outlined the target of the Rumah SelangorKu 3.0 initiative to deliver 60,000 units by 2025.

This revised strategy, motivated by enhancements on the Federal level, enriches the existing Rumah SelangorKu framework by incorporating updated development zones, improved specifications, and stricter enforcement.

A standout feature of the Rumah SelangorKu 3.0 initiative is its tailored housing solutions which consist of solo units made for single occupants and duo, trio, or quad configurations designed for families.
