SHAH ALAM, Oct 12 — Various interesting activities including free children’s health screening await visitors to the Selangor Healthy Children Carnival organised by the State Government this Saturday.
The State Public Health Advisor said the carnival jointly organised by the International Islamic University of Malaysia is scheduled to take place at the National School Jalan Batu Tiga, Taman Eng Ann Klang from 9am to 1pm.
According to Dr Mohammad Farhan Rusli, the organization of the carnival aims to educate parents on the importance of maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet for their children.
“Among the contents of this program are nutrition counselling and a healthy mind, health exhibition and health screening for children for free,” he said when contacted by Selangorkini.
He added that the carnival also presents cultural performances, interactive games and coloring competitions specifically for children.
“We also hold an arm wrestling competition for ages seven to 12 and jump rope. In addition, visitors who attend have a chance to win a lucky draw.
“Therefore, the public is invited to come and liven up the carnival, which is sure to appeal to both parents and children,” he explained.
