SHAH ALAM, Oct 6 — A total of 153 out of 907 job seekers who attended interviews through four series of the JobCare roadshow, organised by the Selangor Workers’ Empowerment Unit (UPPS), have secured jobs in various sectors.

Its chief coordinator S. Vijayan said another 481 job seekers who participated in the programme, which began on August 26, were also called for a second interview.

“The responses have been very encouraging, with many people, especially job seekers and university graduates, taking the opportunity to join this tour at locations near them.

“At each location, over 3,000 job opportunities were provided by 81 employers. We are grateful to the employers who cooperated in making this tour successful,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.

At present, JobCare has taken place at Universiti Cyberjaya in Sepang, Pusat Komuniti Gombak, Yayasan Selangor in Petaling Jaya, and at Safety Driving Center (Sel) Sdn Bhd, also in Petaling Jaya.
