Kota Kemuning state assemblyman to assist family affected by house fire

SHAH ALAM, 9 Oct — The plight of a family in Putra Permai, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya who lost shelter for almost two months after their home was gutted in a fire has caught the attention of Kota Kemuning representatives.

S Preakas said the damage to Yaep Yann Hong’s house would be repaired after a complete assessment of the incident was obtained from the Petaling Land and District Office (PTD) in the near future.

“The incident happened on August 18 and I went to the field to see the condition of the victim’s house to help get disaster relief from PTD.

“The aid form has been submitted to the district director for research and it is understood that it is ongoing.

“I have instructed the relevant parties to approve the allocation as soon as possible so that the renovation of the victim’s house can be expedited,” he said.

For now, Preakas informed that the victim, who is in his 40s, had to stay at a close relative’s house with his wife while waiting for the repair work to be carried out.

“I sympathize with the plight of the family involved. It is understood that at the moment they are still cleaning up the burnt items in the house.”
