Local councils garner KPKT awards for excellent services

SHAH ALAM, Oct 19 — Three Selangor local authorities were accorded various awards during the Local Government Development Ministry’s World Environmental Health Day celebrations.

The State Secretary’s Office said they include the Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL), the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ), and the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang).

MPKL took the lead with three awards, including first place in the clean food court recognition competition for local authorities in 2023 (Category B).

“MPKL also received two more awards for being an outstanding local authority in the clean public market campaign for 2022 and the rat eradication campaign for 2023.

“MPAJ was awarded for its rat eradication campaign in 2022 and the dengue hotspot eradication campaign in local authority areas for 2022.

“Meanwhile, MPSepang received the outstanding local authority award for the clean public market campaign in 2023,” it said in a Facebook post today.

Via these awards, the state government hopes to stimulate the efforts of all local authorities in Selangor to continue excelling in all aspects of service delivery to the people.
