SHAH ALAM, Oct 29 — The Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) and the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) introduced a digital teaching credential management system in conjunction with the Selangor State Certified Preachers Multaqa yesterday.
Mais informed that the introduction of the Selangor Teaching Certification Management Digital Service proves that the state’s Islamic religious enforcement agency is transparent in accreditation matters.
“Mais and Jais want to provide a digital system capable of producing a more effective and transparent quality of work in the management of credentials in Selangor.
“It makes it easier for prospective preachers, existing preachers and the general public to do matters related to commissioning online based on the modules,” he said in a statement on Facebook.
The digital system was launched by Mais Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof at the MBSA Convention Centre, here.
Selangor Mufti Dato’ Dr Anhar Opir and Jais director Dato’ Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad were also present at the launch.
Earlier, more than 600 certified preachers from all over Selangor gathered at the Selangor State Certified Preachers Multaqa to increase knowledge and exchange views.
The inaugural programme also received the approval of His Majesty the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, who places great emphasis on the management of credentials in the state.
