MB shows support for Budget 2024

SHAH ALAM, Oct 14 – The state government plans to leverage the growth of its logistics and port industries as outlined in Budget 2024 tabled yesterday.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the administration will provide a comprehensive review of the technology and innovation sector in the forthcoming 2024 Selangor Budget, scheduled to be tabled on November 10.

The Gombak MP is committed to the vision of establishing Malaysia’s economy as the most powerful and resilient in Southeast Asia, joining the ranks of the world’s 30 largest economies by 2030.

“Various efforts have been implemented, including support for micro companies or small and medium enterprises to compete not only in Malaysia but also with other companies globally.

“This includes incentives for the electric vehicle industry and historic commitment to the education sector to foster a forward-thinking generation,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday.

Simultaneously, Amirudin conveyed his support for the Budget 2024 announcement made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, highlighting it as a budget plan which addresses the interests of both the nation and the state

InsyaAllah, I intend to provide a more thorough explanation and comprehensive debate on his speech in the debate session (at Dewan Rakyat) on Tuesday (October 17),” he said.

Yesterday, Anwar, in his capacity as Finance Minister, tabled the RM393.8 billion budget, themed ‘Economic Reforms Empowering the People’, which is the highest in Malaysian history.

The plan details a comprehensive approach to boost the ecosystem and enhance the operational efficiency of the nation’s ports.

Additionally, it outlines the possible development of the ports in Pulau Carey. This vision could be brought to life through a Request for Proposal (RFP), thus reinforcing the significance of Port Klang.
