GOMBAK, Nov 5 — Another Tekad Kita Selangor offer will be announced and fulfilled within 100 days of State Government administration.

Dato’ Menteri Besar said the offer was Kita Selangor book voucher assistance which will be launched next week and is expected to benefit about 500 students throughout the state to begin with.

“We will try to fulfill everything we promised. So far, four promises have been implemented within 100 days and God willing, next week we will complete five things, namely the implementation of book vouchers.

“At the initial stage, we start (giving book vouchers) to 200 to 500 (students) first. Next year we will add more because this year’s budget is quite limited,” said Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He was met after attending a Civil Tour with Minister of Human Resources V Sivakumar at the Community Hall of Kampung Melayu Wira Damai, Batu Caves here today.

The four promises in Tekad Kita Selangor that have been implemented by this administration include a RM1,000 incentive for childcare (MamaKerja) which will benefit 5,000 women throughout the state.

In addition, the assessment tax exemption of 426,656 low-cost houses and villages for the second term of this year involves a financial implication of RM29.415 million.

Another offer of payment to the state’s 760 imams was increased by RM200 to RM1,500 while the allowance for 1,900 nazirs, bilal, and siak was also increased by RM50 per month to RM300 (nazir), RM340 (bilal) and RM290 (siak).

It includes an incentive of RM1,000 to 500 groups of farmers and fishermen in the form of RM500 in cash while the balance is through input of equipment.
