State budget expected to focus on housing sector, introduce new initiatives

 KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — The housing and real estate sector is expected to continue to be given focus in the Selangor Budget 2024 which will be presented on November 10 next.

State executive councillior for housing Borhan Aman Shah also expects some new initiatives related to housing to be presented by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari later.

“Among what I see this budget will also focus on housing. So I think (there are) new initiatives that will be announced later.

“Let’s wait on November 10. God willing, there will also be the latest initiatives involving housing, especially in Selangor,” he said after officiating at the BPEX House Expo at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre here yesterday.

On 30 September, Dato’ Menteri Besar said his administration was optimistic to achieve the target of building 60,000 units of Rumah Selangorku by 2025.

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the 45,000 housing units are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Amirudin is scheduled to present the Selangor Budget 2024 in the Selangor State Assembly session on November 10. The House is scheduled to sit until November 24.
