Invest Selangor, MGCC celebrate 10-year partnership, eye more investment opportunities

SHAH ALAM, Dec 7 — Invest Selangor Bhd (Invest Selangor) celebrated its 10th membership anniversary with the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC) yesterday in the presence of state executive councillor for investment and trade Ng Sze Han.

The celebration is in conjunction with MGCC’s courtesy visit to Ng and top leaders of Invest Selangor at the State Secretariat Building in Section 5.

The MGCC delegation was led by its executive director, Daniel Bernbeck.

Taking to social media site X, Invest Selangor said during the visit, those present held an engaging exchange of insights on Selangor’s matured investment landscape and the thriving German business communities within the state.

“As part of this momentous occasion, we also celebrated the remarkable milestone of our 10th membership anniversary.

“Over the past decade, our partnership with MGCC has played a pivotal role in fostering economic growth, promoting investment, and strengthening ties between Selangor and Germany.

“Looking ahead, we are excited to continue our collaboration with MGCC, working hand in hand to foster even more investment from Germany into Selangor,” it said today.

During the meeting, Bernbeck also handed a plaque to Invest Selangor chief executive officer Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris to commemorate their decade-long partnership.

MGCC has been operating actively in Malaysia since 1991, fulfilling its role as a service provider, membership organisation, and voice of the German industry in the country.
