SHAH ALAM, Dec 26 — Dusun Tua assemblyman Datuk Johan Abdul Aziz is banking on social media to disseminate information about the state government’s aid programmes and community outreach activities in his constituency.
The Barisan Nasional lawmaker said he opted for this method as it ensures faster dissemination of information to a larger audience, ensuring more would benefit from the state’s various initiatives.
“The state government has put together 47 programmes under Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) that are aimed at benefiting the public by focusing on easing the burden of the low income group.
“As an assemblyman, I will utilise all social media mediums, apart from the Dusun Tua community service centre, to facilitate the public obtaining information,” he said when contacted.
Johan also encouraged tech-savvy youth to assist in sharing ISP-related information, particularly to their parents and respective communities who may lack access.
Commenting on his plans for his constituency next year, Johan said he will be focusing on improving road infrastructure to reduce congestion in Dusun Tua.
“I am always aware about complaints from residents and I have even raised those issues in the State Legislative Assembly, as well as discussing them with the Public Works Department and Kajang Municipal Council,” he said.
