Almost 20,000 Iltizam Anak Selangor applications approved since launch

SHAH ALAM, Jan 17 — Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas) has received a total of 25,266 applications for its Iltizam Anak Selangor (Anas) initiative, which provides RM100 in savings annually for five years to Selangor-born children, since its launch in 2022.

Yawas corporate communications assistant manager Sharizan Mohd Shariff said of the total, 19,762 have been approved, while 4,508 were rejected due to various reasons.

He added that there are still 10,238 available slots that are open for application to parents with children born in 2022 and 2023.

“We still have remaining quotas, since the state government has provided allocations for 30,000 babies born in Selangor.

“I call on qualified parents to submit complete applications, and we will make the necessary consideration,” he said when contacted.

Anas was introduced in 2022 under the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang, offering an annual saving of RM100 to children born in the state until they turn five, as part of the government’s efforts to aid in their education preparation.

The amount will be credited directly to the child’s Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional (SSPN) Prime accounts.

Applications can be made online at anas.yawas.com.my and will be closed once the 30,000 target is achieved.
