SHAH ALAM, Jan 13 — The public can now enjoy the beauty around Kuala Kubu Bharu town by riding trishaws and smart recreational bicycles provided by the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS).

It said the service, still in the probationary period, is an initiative to promote tourism activities in the area, as well as prepare for the upcoming Visit Selangor Year 2025.

“This service, in collaboration with Cycledios Management Sdn Bhd, aims to diversify tourism activities and attract visitors to Hulu Selangor.

“The proposed trishaw route for this first phase is around the town of Kuala Kubu Bharu, while other routes will be opened in subsequent phases if this activity receives encouraging support from visitors,” MPHS said in a Facebook post yesterday.

During the tabling of the 2024 Selangor Budget on November 10 last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced several initiatives which will commence this year in preparation for Visit Selangor Year 2025.

The state government also aims to attract up to eight million local and international tourists to visit Selangor during the campaign.
