Kuala Selangor to host state-level Madani tour from February 23-25

SHAH ALAM, Jan 18 —The Selangor-level Madani Tour series will be held from February 23 to 25 at the Kuala Selangor Stadium.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the programme would serve as a platform to publicise initiatives implemented by the federal and state governments to alleviate the burden of the people.

He said this was because some segments of the masses could be unfamiliar or do not fully understand Selangor’s plans.

“Insya-Allah, Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) is expected to attend the closing ceremony on the final day,” he told newsmen after officiating at the Selangor Digital School Graduation ceremony here today.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil had previously said that Selangor would be the first state to host the state-level Madani Tour series.

Fahmi, who is also the spokesperson for the Unity Government, said the Prime Minister, on January 3, agreed that a Madani Tour be held at the state level, on the heels of the successful Madani Government One Year Anniversary programme at the Bukit Jalil Stadium last month.

Following this, Fahmi suggested that all ministries participate in the tour series to showcase initiatives and achievements.
