U-PLATS participants encouraged to apply for digital grant to win phones

SHAH ALAM, Jan 9 — The Selangor Platform (PLATS) Entrepreneur Development Training Programme’s (U-PLATS) participants are invited to apply for the Digital Madani Vendor Grant, which has been open since January 1, said Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI.

Its social responsibility and corporate communication head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the grant, under the initiative of the Federal government, offers a free phone and a calculation machine package worth RM1,000.

“In conjunction with the new year, there is good news for traders registered with PLATS. Participants can apply for this grant, which is a central government initiative, and we assist in facilitating the affairs of Plats traders.

“Priority will be given to 360 U-PLATS participants. Currently, 180 participants involving six local authorities are eligible, and it will be expanded to another six more local authorities,” he said on Facebook recently.

Applications can be submitted via the website www.platselangor.com by clicking on the MBI initiative, selecting the Digital Madani Vendor Grant, and completing the provided Google form.

The package available for the calculation machine includes an accounting system, DuitNow, Tap2Phone, postage and invoices, inventory management, and business analysis.
