163 govt services to be available at Madani Rakyat Programme in Kuala Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 — A total of 163 government services will be provided for visitors of the Central Zone Madani Rakyat Programme scheduled to take place at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex from February 23 to 25.

Agriculture and Food Security Ministry’s (KPKM) Food Industry Division principal senior assistant secretary Zurihanmi Zakariya said of the total, 121 are services offered by federal agencies under 26 ministries, while the rest would be services offered by state agencies.

“Among the services to be provided by federal agencies are counters for traffic summons discounts and Road Transport Department (JPJ) counters for helmet exchange, just like the ones we had during the programme in Bukit Jalil last year.

“Also available are counters for Rahmah Aid status check and free health examination. Needless to say, whatever service you want, you’ll find it there,” he said when appearing on Bernama TV’s Apa Khabar Malaysia programme today.

He said KPKM, as the leading ministry of the programme, would also have a special pavilion to provide information and direct consultation, such as on padi technology, aquaculture and vertical farming, as well as a petting zoo for children.

“We will also have Madani Agro Sales, offering various items at least 30 per cent cheaper than market prices,” he said.

Zurihanmi said the public can also obtain the latest information and explanation of government policies and aspirations during the Madani Rakyat programme in Kuala Selangor.

“My advice is to come early, find a comfortable parking space, and bring enough money because there will be many items on sale during the programme,” he said.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to grace the programme on February 25.
