KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 — A total of 31 Iltizam Selangor Penyayang programmes will be highlighted during the three-day Madani Rakyat Zon Tengah Programme from February 23, at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex.
Madani Rakyat Programme coordinator Mohd Hidayat Mohd Sauffi said among the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang programmes were Rumah Idaman Selangor, Skim Air Darul Ehsan (Sade) and the Selangor General Insurance Scheme (Insan).
“Previously, Iltizam Selangor Penyayang was domestic in nature, meaning only the people of Selangor knew about it.
“But this time, the definition is broader so that people outside Selangor will also know about it and tell them (the people of Selangor) who are unaware of its benefits,” he said when appearing as a guest on the TV1 ‘Selamat Pagi Malaysia’ programme, here today.
In addition, a total of 163 government services will be offered to visitors at the Madani Rakyat Zon Tengah Programme, including 121 federal agency services from 26 ministries.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), as the leading ministry, will offer the Young Agropreneur Grant at the programme.
Food and Agro-based Industry Division senior principal assistant secretary Zurihanmi Zakariya said the initiative would allow the young generation in Kuala Selangor and surrounding areas to apply for the grant, thus encouraging their involvement in agro entrepreneurship
“We know that Kuala Selangor, Tanjong Karang, Sabak Bernam, and the surrounding areas are agricultural areas, so we offer grants to the local community, and they can apply for it,” he said.
He added that officers from the ministry would assist in the grant application process, which is for individuals aged between 18 and 40.
