Matrade to lead delegation to Gulfood 2024 in Dubai

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 — The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) will lead 80 Malaysian companies and five government agencies to the Gulfood 2024 exhibition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from Feb 19 to February 23, 2024.

In a statement today, Matrade said its chairman, Reezal Merican Naina Merican, will lead the Malaysian delegation.

“This effort underscores Malaysia’s commitment to showcasing its diverse and innovative food and beverage industry on the global stage.

“Gulfood, recognised as the world’s largest annual food and beverage trade exhibition, presents a prime opportunity for Malaysian businesses to network, forge partnerships, and showcase their exceptional products and services,” it said.

Matrade said that various products such as sauces and pastes, spices and condiments, frozen products, ready-to-eat meals, confectionaries, snacks, beverages, palm oil and more would be promoted at this event.

“In addition to showcasing Malaysian brands at the Malaysia Pavilion, Matrade, through its Dubai office, will be pivotal in facilitating introductions between Malaysian companies and major importers and distributors in the UAE.

“Through this proactive approach, our aim is to elevate the profile of Malaysian brands among these high-value buyers while fostering potential business opportunities and collaborations,” it added.
