MB encourages Selangor residents to apply for RM100 kindergarten fees subsidies

SHAH ALAM, Feb 20 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has invited eligible parents to apply for the RM100 monthly childcare or kindergarten fee assistance.

Applications can be made at https://asuhpintar.yawas.com.my/ before the 15th of each month.

He said the initiative via the Asuh Pintar childcare assistance scheme is aimed at alleviating the burden of parents in providing quality childcare for their children.

“One of the state government’s focuses in caring for young children in Selangor is by providing quality and beneficial childcare.

“Through the Asuh Pintar scheme, eligible parents will receive RM100 in assistance each month for the childcare or nursery fees of children aged four and under. This assistance will be paid directly to the childcare centre or nursery,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.

The Menteri Besar announced the assistance for parents during the tabling of the 2024 Selangor Budget on November 10 last year.

He said the incentive is provided to low-income groups (B40) involving RM600,000 in funds.
