Para cycling squad sweep two gold, two silver in India 

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 —The national para cycling squad showcased excellent performances by clinching two gold and two silver medals in the 1km time trial event for men and women in the B tandem category at the 2024 Asian Para Track Cycling Championships in New Delhi, India, today.

The two gold medals were won by Mohd Khairul Hazwan Wahab and his partner Muhd Arfy Qhairant Amran clocking in at 1 minute 06.256 seconds in the men’s category and Nur Azlia Syafinaz Mohd Zais and her partner Farina Shawati Mohd Adnan who recorded a time of 1:13.350s in the women’s category, as reported on the website https://atresults2.wixsite.com/attiming/acct2024.

Ahmad Ahlami Mohamad and his partner Muhammad Khairul Adha Rasol secured the silver medal in the men’s category with a time of 1:07.362s, while Nur Suraiya Muhamad Zamri and her partner Nurul Suhada Zainal won the silver medal in the women’s category with a time of 1:14.486s.

Thai cyclist Watcharobon Boonmalert and her partner Kanyarat Kesthonglang settled for the bronze medal in the women’s category with a time of 1:18.566s.

There was no gold medallist in the men’s category as only two teams registered for the event.
