SHAH ALAM, March 8 — Infrasel Sdn Bhd (Infrasel) has announced the temporary closure of a portion of Jalan Teluk Piah Kanan in Kuala Selangor for repair and resurfacing works from March 7 to April 30.

The state-owned maintenance firm said the road repairs will be conducted from 10pm to 6am daily using the cold in-place recycling (CIPR) method, a pavement rehabilitation technique in which the existing pavement materials are reused in-place as the base layer.

The works will be conducted by Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd.

“The affected route will be temporarily closed to all vehicles to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic.

“Road users are advised to adhere to the safety signs at the location,” Infrasel said in a statement published on Kuala Selangor Public Works Department’s Facebook page.

On August 22 last year, Infrasel operations executive Abdullah Hanif Abd Ghalib was reported to have said that 86 percent of the 93 road repair projects statewide had been completed.

Previously, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari allocated RM50 million for road maintenance across the state, with a focus on ensuring the roads’ good condition.

These repairs encompass various areas across all nine districts, with the highest in Petaling involving 66 roads, followed by Klang with 39, Gombak with 29, Hulu Langat with 27, Sepang with 19, Sabak Bernam with 17,  while Kuala Langat has 16 roads, Kuala Selangor has 11 and Hulu Selangor has eight roads.
