PKNS donates RM100,000 to Ukhuwah welfare organisation

SHAH ALAM, March 20 — The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) donated RM100,000 to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ukhuwah Anak Yatim/Miskin Daerah Sabak Bernam (Ukhuwah) today to repair and upgrade its welfare homes’ hostels.

The contribution, which also covers purchasing necessities for the children at Ukhuwah homes, was presented by Selangor State Secretary Datuk Haris Kasim on behalf of PKNS to Ukhuwah supervisor Rosnah Mohamed Razalli.

In a statement, PKNS said the donation is part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at assisting the less fortunate, including orphans.

“This is also PKNS’ way of giving back to the community, particularly during the month of Ramadan” it said.

The PKNS 2024 Ramadan Kasih Iftar, held at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC), was attended by the state executive councillor for housing and culture Borhan Aman Shah, the state executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Izham Hashim, PKNS’ deputy chief executive officer (corporate) Suhaimi Kasdon, and 500 PKNS employees.

As part of the event, 45 children from Ukhuwah also had the chance to listen to a religious talk by Ustaz Haslin Bollywood.
