SHAH ALAM, March 21 — The Petaling Jaya parliamentary service centre is organising a light-emitting diode (LED) light installation class for free for the youth this May.
Its member of Parliament, Lee Chean Chung, said the class is meant to provide an opportunity for the younger generation to venture into fields that utilise cutting-edge technology.
“We chose to conduct this LED installation class because it’s a relatively new technology that is rapidly growing in usage in the country,” he said when contacted.
“This trend is set to open up job opportunities that offer lucrative salaries, capable of changing the people’s fortunes while fulfilling industry needs.”
“As such, we are working together with Helio Media Sdn Bhd and non-governmental organisation PJ Up!. Collaborations with private companies like this is crucial in enhancing youth’s skills”
According to Lee, the class will take place from May 11-19 involving 25 students.
He added that students who complete the course and sit for the examination will receive a level one certificate from Nova Star and Helio Media, which is recognised by various countries like China and Europe.
“Students who receive certificates will have the opportunity to offer LED installation services, become consulting experts and start their own maintenance service businesses,” he said.
