GAZA, April 12 — At least 25 civilians were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Gaza Strip Friday.
The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the occupation aircraft launched intense air raids targeting a house belonging to the Tabatibi family in the Sidra area, in the Daraj neighbourhood in central Gaza City. This resulted in the killing of 25 civilians and wounding dozens.
“The occupation warplanes also targeted the northern areas of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, while the occupation army blew up a number of buildings north of the camp,” it said.
According to medical sources, a number of civilians were wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a school housing displaced people in Nuseirat camp. They were subsequently transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Ambulance and civil defence crews managed to recover the decomposed bodies of 13 people from the Al-Balad area and the Al-Amal neighbourhood in Khan Yunis Governorate, south of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli warboats further targeted a primary school in the Nuseirat camp, resulting in the killing of one civilian and causing the injury of dozens of others.
According to medical sources, the number of civilians killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to 33,545, most of whom were women and children. The number of injured has so far reached 76,094.
