KLANG, April 4 — Sentosa assemblyman G. Gunarajah today hosted over 100 people to an iftar programme at Laman Mazmida Sungai Jati here.

Guests include media practitioners, village heads, government agency staff, and residents’ representatives from Sentosa.

“The purpose we organised this breaking of fast event is to strengthen the relationship between the elected representative and residents.

“We have organised this programme almost every year and plan to continue this into the future,” he said when met today.

Other than the iftar event, Gunarajah said his office has also organised nine other programmes throughout the month Ramadan, including the distribution of food packs for breaking of fast and bubur lambuk.

“We also distributed iftar meals to frontline personnel such as firefighters, police officers, and staff at Tuanku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, as well as organised post-iftar activities at mosques and surau in the Sentosa constituency.”

“Additionally, we received sponsorship from the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation to purchase Aidilfitri clothes for orphans,” he said, adding that Muslim officers from his office also attended the Quran Hour programme at mosques and surau in Sentosa earlier today.
