Free online tuition for SPM students

SHAH ALAM, APR 6: The State Government through Yayasan Selangor offers Online Tuiton Programme for free to its citizens particularly Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students.
Yayasan Selangor Senior Manager, Zahura Zakry said this is one of the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) targeting 18,000 eligible Form 5 students.
She said, the programme offers five subjects which consists of three core subjects and the combination of the other two subjects are Additional Mathematics and Physics (for Science stream) and Science and Mathematics (for Arts Stream).
“Through this programme, more students have the opportunity to acquire knowledge on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with digital application, preparing the younger generation for more challenging careers.
She said that during the Online Tuition Launching Ceremony at the Tun Raja Uda Library, yesterday.

Zahura said, she would also like to thank the Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) who helped to make the programme a success.
The programme is provided for free, facilitating students to do their revision based on topics, through interesting learning videos by teachers through effective delivery using illustrations and demonstrations.
Students can register at www.smartselangorfreetuition.com, subject to the condition that their household income per capita, or the total of their parents’ income over the number of dependents in the house, is below RM1,500.
A RM25,000 rewards will be given to the five best 2017 SPM students who registered and used the Online Tuition application.
