MPKj focused on addressing traffic congestion

SHAH ALAM, AUG 18: The Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) is planning to create a special plan to address traffic congestion in its area especially during peak time.
MPKj Yang Dipertua, Mohd Sayuthi Bakar said the plan will be implemented by stages with commitment and collaboration with relevant State Government agencies.
“MPKj is working on more things to sustain the municipality for the community’s long-term benefit.
“This include improvements and MPKj’s gradual effort to overcome traffic congestion at our municipality’s main roads,” he said to SelangorKini recently.
Mohd Sayuthi said, MPKj’s strategic position, bordering with Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya makes it a thriving development centre leading to high traffic flow.

He said the proliferation leads to more projects in the municipality to meet the residents’ demands.
“Consistent with this development, MPKj has streamline its direction to make Kajang a city of choice to reside.
“To achieve that, we focused on several things including adding public facilities and infrastructures for the local community,” he said.
MPKj has been providing many facilities and implemented many local developments to ensure continuous benefit to its community.
It includes the Kajang Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) public transportation network development implemented by Federal and fully supported by the State Government.
Besides that, the Smart Selangor Bus service which was introduced to improve the public transportation network in MPKj’s constituency.
