Sime Darby agrees to join Kasihku Zakat Selangor

KAPAR, SEP 4: Sime Darby Property Berhad has agreed to join the ‘Kasihku Zakat Selangor’ programme involving RM335,696 worth of redistribution.
The announcement was made by Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) Chief Executive Officer, Hussin Mohd Ali at the Korban Perdana 2017 anf the Journey to Jannah Bersama Pembayar Zakat programme in conjunction with the Aidiladha Celebration at the Kompleks Anak-Anak Asnaf LZS, Bait Al-Hasanah.
He said, the Kasihku Zakat Selangor programme is an initiative that allows the company to apply to redistribute 3/8 or 37.5% of its zakat, in the current year, to be distributed to asnaf (eligible zakat recipients) who are registered with LZS.
In the same development, Simply Packing Sdn Bhd also distributed their business zakat for financial year 2016 amounting to RM62,000.
