Selangor Sultan agreed to withdrawal of Dr Zamihan’s teaching commision

SHAH ALAM, OCT 16: His Royal Highness, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah agreed for Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) to withdraw Dr Zamihan Mat Zain’s commission to teach.
His Majesty, in a statement through the Selangor Royal Council’s Secretary, Hanafisah Jais gave his assent according to the Selangor 2008 Regulation of Commissions, Regulation 4 after discussion with ‘Deran Di-raja Selangor’ today.
“This action is taken following one of Dr Zamihan Mat Zin’s religious talk containing elements of racism, rude and extreme criticism of the royal institution.
“In addition, the religious talk was held in a royal mosque, where this should not have happened,” he said.
Under the same regulation, Zamihan’s membership to the Selangor State Commissioners’ Committee was also cancelled.
He also instructed all mosques and surau in Selangor to record every talk being held.
In addition, the use of loudspeakers for talks are restricted to within the mosque and surau, except for azan and Quran recitals.
