Closing date for UPU applications extended to April 17

KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 — The closing date for applications to enrol in public universities, Teacher Education Institutes, matriculation colleges, polytechnics, community colleges and Public Skills Training Institutes has been extended from April 7 to April 17.

Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad in a statement today said that the deadline for applicants to purchase the unique ID number at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) is on April 16.

“I’m aware of difficulties in having internet access faced by Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) school leavers and those with equivalent qualifications during the implementation of the movement control order (MCO),” she said.

SPM leavers can check their application status on June 3 while for STPM leavers, or those with equivalent qualifications, the results will be made available on Aug 18.
