Selangor has 58 confirmed new Covid-19 cases, total tally 1,078

SHAH ALAM, April 8 — Selangor has recorded 58 new Covid-19 cases today, pushing the total number of cases to 1,078.

The death toll in the state remains at eight as no fatalities were reported.

Out of the 156 newly reported cases in the country today, Johor and Sarawak had each recorded 18 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (14), Melaka (13), and Sabah (7).

The total cumulative number of cases in Kuala Lumpur is 685, followed by Johor (496), Sarawak (306) and Sabah (248).

Other states that have not seen a rise in cases are Perlis, Kelantan and Labuan.

Malaysia registered a total of 65 deaths, out of 4,119 cases.
