By Ida Nadirah Ibrahim

SHAH ALAM, June 5 — The Beranang township in Hulu Langat is now declared as a green zone after it has registered no Covid-19 active cases yesterday.

The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) said this brings the total townships in the state classified a green zone to 32.

However, based on the infographics provided by the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) of the Selangor State Health Department, the Hulu Langat district is still a red zone with 112 active cases, with 68 active cases reported in Semenyih.

The Sepang district is also a red zone with 66 active cases, in which 62 is recorded in Labu.

As of noon yesterday, Selangor had registered two new coronavirus cases for the second consecutive day, pushing the total figure to 1,930.

“The people of Selangor should be wary of the Covid-19 infection and get the latest updates from STFC, such as on the SELangkah system and the new normal practices,” the task force said on Facebook last night.

“Treasure the freedom you have by being disciplined and responsible.”
