Zawawi determined to give best service to the people

SHAH ALAM, Sept 17 — Sungai Kandis state assemblyman describes his appointment as a Selangor state executive councillor as a responsibility that must be carried out with honesty and sincerity.

Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni said he will strive to be fair and just to all citizens regardless of their religion or political belief.

“I am determined and committed to giving my best for the benefit of the people and the development of the state. My team and I will also work hard to develop Selangor, dignify Islam as Addin — Islam as the way of life,” he said in a statement issued today.

He also called for the people to practise a balanced lifestyle between the world and afterlife as well as stressing for Muslims to work hard to enable them to pay their zakat (tithe), donate and give wakaf (Islamic endowment).

Mohd Zawawi was sworn in as the new state executive councillor in front of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, in a ceremony held at the Istana Alam Shah in Klang here today.
