MetMalaysia issues typhoon advisory

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — Typhoon Saudel with a maximum speed of 130 km/h is now moving about 622km to the northwest of Manila, Philippines.

In this regard, the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a typhoon advisory because it is expected to cause strong winds in the waters of Sabah.

Based on observation at 11pm yesterday, MetMalaysia stated that the typhoon is about 1164km to the northwest of Kudat, Sabah.
