SHAH ALAM, Nov 30 — The Deepavali open house that was organised in Sentosa, Klang, with a drive-thru concept had attracted many locals in celebration of the festival.

Its state assemblyman Dr G Gunaraj said more than 1,000 goody packs containing foods and drinks were distributed to people who came to the event.

“Even though we are placed under the conditional movement control order (CMCO), the festival was still celebrated but according to the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government.

“The open house was also attended by other races including Malay and Chinese and saw the celebration of the festival in harmony,” he said when contacted yesterday.

Gunaraj said competition for the best decorated Deepavali-themed tent was also held in all five zones under the Sentosa state constituency with multiple attractive prizes offered to the winners.
