Covid-19: Four sub-districts in Gombak, Hulu Langat, Petaling are red zones

SHAH ALAM, Dec 31 — The Gombak, Hulu Langat and Petaling districts each have registered four of its sub-districts as a Covid-19 red zone for a period of two weeks since December 17.

The Health Ministry (MOH) said the red zone sub-districts in Gombak include Batu, Hulu Kelang, Rawang and Setapak.

While in Hulu Langat, the red zones are Ampang, Kajang, Cheras and Semenyih; and Bukit Raja, Damansara, Petaling and Sungai Buloh in the Petaling district.

“(Meanwhile) Kuala Selangor has three sub-districts categorised as a red zone, namely Ijok, Tanjung Karang and Jeram , while for Klang and Kuala Langat each have two (red zone sub-districts),” MOH said via Twitter.

The ministry said the Hulu Selangor and Sepang districts each have one sub-district in the red zone, namely Serendah and Dengkil.

Yesterday, the daily Covid-19 cases reported in Selangor dropped to 472 compared to 747 recorded on Tuesday.

A total of 65 cases were detected from the existing cluster which includes six infections from the new Broga Site Cluster.

The remaining 407 cases were from close contact screening and other Covid-19 screenings.
