SHAH ALAM, Feb 3 — The Selangor and Federal governments have reached a consensus regarding their joint efforts in the prevention of the Covid-19 infection.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the decision was made after a discussion with the Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba at the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) yesterday.
He explained that among the issues discussed were Covid-19 vaccine, Temporary Transit Facility (PTS), gazettement, data-sharing and state government agencies collaboration.
“Insya Allah (Godwilling), thanks to the cooperation and agreement from the minister and his team, we will announce a few consensus that were reached, the peak of the cooperation between Federal and state without hiding any information or working in silos,” said Amirudin the statement last night.
He said the meeting between both parties also involved the Selangor and Health Ministry medical teams which resulted in a productive session that will soon move into the management aspects of tackling the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Behind the doom and gloom of what we are accustomed to hearing when informed of the rising number of infections (everyday), it is clear that this discussion offers some form of relief.
“It gives us hope to put our heads and work together to give the best for both Selangor and Malaysia,” Amirudin said.
