STDC offers TVET courses for new students, fees covered by Selangor government

SHAH ALAM, June 12 — The Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC) is offering opportunities to further study in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for individuals aged 18 and above.

STDC said the tuition and hostel fees will be borne by the state government and 10 courses are being offered under the Smart Selangor Technical and Professional Skills Initiative (Iktisass), namely:

1. Automotive
2. Spray painting
3. Motorcycle maintenance
4. Computer system
5. Electrical maintenance
6. Air conditioning maintenance
7. Fashion technology
8. Spa therapy
9. Culinary
10. Pastry making

“This offer is open for students aged 18 and above who were born in Selangor or have resided in Selangor for more than 11 years (subject to terms and conditions),” he said on Facebook.
