MB: 14.2 pct of Selangor population completed two vaccine doses

SHAH ALAM, July 19 — Some  674,000 individuals or 14.2 per cent of the Selangor population have received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine as of July 19, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said that so far, 2.73 million doses of vaccine have been administered in the state through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

“Under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax), an additional 72,011 doses have been administered,” he said on Facebook, today.

Yesterday, Amirudin had said that the state government is targeting to hit 300,000 daily vaccination rate by the end of the month. 

On June 30, the Menteri Besar had launched the Selvax initiative as one of the efforts by the state government to speed up the vaccination rate in Selangor.

A total of 2.5 million doses of vaccine are allocated for 1.25 million individuals in the state, which includes 500,000 million doses for the community under Selvax Community and two million doses for Selvax Industry.
