MB visits flood victims at Kuala Selangor temporary relief centre

SHAH ALAM, Dec 22 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari paid a visit to flood victims at the temporary relief centre (PPS) in Sekolah Kebangsaan Parit Mahang, Kuala Selangor, earlier today.

He said 681 people have been relocated to the PPS, following water overflow caused by a broken bund.

“The contractor is rebuilding the bund, and the water pumping process is currently underway,” Amirudin said on Twitter.

Earlier on several videos went viral on social media, which showed several bunds, including those in Kampung Asahan at Bestari Jaya, broken due to the pressures caused by floods in the district.
