High tide expected in Sabak Bernam, Port Klang until Saturday

SHAH ALAM, Feb 2 —The National Hydrographic Centre has forecast high tide to occur in Sabak Bernam and Port Klang from February 1 to 5.

It is also expected to hit several areas in Kuala Muda (Kedah), Bagan Datoh (Perak), Batu Pahat and Pontian (Johor).

“The high tide for February 2022 occurs on February 1 to 5, according to the forecast data from the 2022 Malaysia Tide Tables released by the National Hydrographic Centre.

“Always stay vigilant,” the agency said on Twitter on Monday.

On January 2, high tide hit several areas in the state including Klang, Kuala Langat, Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the tide was at a height of five metres, but the situation was under control.
