SHAH ALAM, May 13 — Registration for the health screening programme Saring Selangor will be opened via the SELangkah app beginning May 16.

State executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said each applicant must complete their initial screening form during the registration process, which is aimed at identifying their health background and risk factors.

She said eligible applicants will receive the health screening vouchers for free at the stipulated location and date.

“The state government is urging Selangor citizens who have risk factors (such as family history, overweight, unhealthy lifestyle etc.) as well as those who have yet to be diagnosed by doctors with a specific ailment, to register for the programme.

“Saring Selangor offers health screening for three categories of aliments including non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney failure; cancer (colorectal, prostate, cervix and breast), as well as optical diseases including myopia, glaucoma and retina,” said Dr Siti Mariah in a statement today.

During the tabling of the 2022 Selangor Budget last year, the state government allocated RM3.4 million for the Saring Selangor programme, targeting 39,000 recipients who would benefit from the initiative in all 56 constituencies.

Further information on the Saring Selangor can be found on selangorsaring.selangkah.my.

Any issues related to registration can be submitted to the Selcare hotline 1-800-22-6600 or the Selangor Community Health Volunteers (SUKA) hotline which can be found at https://drsitimariah.com/talian-suka/.
